O & it was defitetly the Big block version
Had the same problem with my new shield!!! Our old shield fit fine with this tranny but the new one I had one hole that just wouldnt go!!! I ended up forcing it and driving it home with an air ratchet! I know I goobered the hole in the block so I will have to helicoil it next time the trans is out!!!
