do you mean leaking out the crank seals? assuming the gauge it right and it sounds like it is the most likely culprit is the relief valve being stuck shut. years ago i made the mistake of putting the cup plug that goes in after the spring in backwards which compressed the spring. it had 150# and swelled the oil filter up but fortunately didn't pop it. pulled the pan and checked the pump finding my mistake. i would never install an oil pump without disassembling and inspecting it. sure sounds like the relief valve, only way to really check it is disassemble it. how long have you had it running?
