I'm up this morning to leave for the the funeral of my friend Ken Shrader. He's been a fixture with me at NHRA,NMCA,NCSA,and Chrysler Classic events. You guys would remember him as the short guy on the crutches. He had always wanted to be able to race his 69 Charger and be competitive. That dream was realized at Norwalk last September when we put a trans brake in his car. He was always ready to dive in and help out. How many guys would lend you their original 50,000 mile Hemi charger to race when your car was apart? I'll miss him.
