my 13 yr old went through her orientation today for the teen championship racing, they drive a street legal vehicle with a co-pilot,she had to make 6, 1/8 mile passes for he licensing passes,3 passes with me and a ihra tech guy and 3 with just her and me,she ran a best of 12.9 @56.46.she drove the wifes v6 2000 dodge caravan, they had to pass a vehicle orientation to demonstrate her familiarity with all controls,as well as safety.the 1/8 mile seemed alot longer riding in passenger seat than racing it myself,we as co-pilots drive them to the staging lanes, then switch seats, then after the pass ,on the return road we switch out again so the co-pilot drives through the pits,i was told this is a ihra rules for there class.she did an excellant job ,no problems or mistakes, she even had to back out of the light after a light malfunction.i have to send in her membership/license application for her license, next is test/tune is 4/10 she is so excited.mike
