The recent cam question thread has really piked my interest about the lunati cam

lunati 60303 .226*int/.234*ex .494int/.513ex

I am in the middle of my dilemma with where to go with my 71 roadrunner.

I have access to a 9:1 compression 440, but my car currently has a fresh 10,000 mile 383 which has had quite a bit of work done to it. I don't want to mess with exhaust systems again!

Anyway, how would this cam work in a 383? This is a big car and it needs the power. I noticed quite a difference from the 440 it used to have when I went with the 383 (but thats another long story ).

383 motor, bored .30 over with 440 rods, ross pistons (approx 9.1:1 compression), 452 heads with mild pocket port done, FBO mechanical advance distributor, currently* 750 edelbrock carb. Automatic 727, 2300 stall converter, 3:55 sure grip rear.

This lunati cam seems to be very popular from what I have read. What are some real world quarter mile numbers and street experience with this cam?

I am driving myself crazy with my car "what if" scenarios. I need the weather get warm so I can at least go mow that lawn or something!!!

Thanks!
