Okay...what is the fastest way to identify, or more specifically, tell the difference between a 440 and 383 stock intake manifold?

Here's the deal, a friend of mine has an factory iron intake for a Chrysler big block, but he doesn't know whether its for a B or an RB engine. Are there some simple numbers cast in that identifies one from the other? I can't physically see the manifold myself as he lives too far away to drop in, so I can't tell by looking/comparing to anything.

Or a basic dimension I could give him to check? He's not the most mechanically apt guy, so the check needs to be as basic as possible and I have to be able to describe the process to him over the phone. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance, guys.
