Been diggin' into rebuilding a couple transmissions lately and one is an 85 904 with the low gear set (2.77), 5 clutch front drum, and the lock-up converter.

I have another non-lock-up 904 to scavenge for the more common input shaft, hence, better converter selection, but would like to try the loosest lock-up style converter available along with some other mod's.

The car is basically,
3600 lbs
360
dual-plane
cam - 228@.050
600 Holley or a vac. 650 Spreadbore Holley
3.55 gear
28" tire
1&5/8's headers

Got any ideas for valve body mod's??????

Any shift kits out there that will fit this application or adapt?

So far I'll,

tweak the line pressure
4.2:1 kick-down lever
5400 rpm governor
blocker tube in the accumulator
reinforced strut at the 2-3 lever

Any stronger shims, wave springs, selective snap rings to beef up that big coil spring in the high/reverse clutch?? Or a stronger replacement coilspring???

Any constructive input will be appreciated.
