The center rib is the only difference. The early ones did not have the rib, these deck lids are prone to kinking. Ive not scene one kink, but I that was the design flaw. So thats why the later ones had the rib in the middle. Hope thats of some help. Plus I dont think the later ones were wing equipped either. So they dont ever have the cut outs underneath. See ya, Ken
