Here is my situation...my original 71 drivers side fender is too rotted to keep/fix. So, many years ago before repopped fenders existed, I bought an original 71 drivers side fender (no gills but a 71). I am now restoring the car and don't want a repop fender since I have an original one.

What way should I go...stamp it (by who?) or get the patch and weld it in?

The patch seems very simple but time at the shop is money...is it more money than me shipping one fender to someone for a stamping?
