Bend the tang slowly over the terminal and make sure it passes the terminal by 1/4 inch on the opposite side.

Jules was a big help to me with this info.

Also, when reassembling make sure you put the tab in the correct grove. Mine was installed incorrectly and I kept having to rebend until I learned the correct placement. If your part number is readable you may be able to get some help with the correct installation.
