This looks to me like a simple hub issue, but is it?. The PN for the damper is 917122E, and 916661 L for the hub. I'm assuming the "L" is a long hub version, and I just need to get the 916661. You can see by the pics there was no way the damper was going to work without hitting the oil pan, and I still had another .310" to go before the hub would sit flush with the end of the crank.

The bolts under the damper on the left are just about the diameter (.310") that is needed to have both dampers flush with the crank end.
