you should be fine #4 = 5/16 which is the stock size.

#6 is 3/8 which is a nice upgrade but the stock fittings in the trans are very small already 1/8 npt and imo need to be enlarged to get the added benefit of the bigger line.



I use #6 line but I use a AN#6 to 1/8 fitting but I
drill the fitting out a little for better flow(dont
go crazy drilling it out... gets weak)
