is this a recent build?
you can try replacing the spring and relief valve, but your symptoms are normally associated with vey loose bearing clearances bleeding off a high volume of oil.
you might also test the rocker oiling by stepping down to .035 restrictors. use a drill to prime it and see if you have excessive leakage up there.

Cab, i've done dyno testing regarding oil pressure and high/ low volume pumps. the largest differential i ever saw was about 1 horsepower, and that was going all the way down to 45 psi. we documented the tests very carefully matching oil and water temps on each successive pull. give it some thought, a 1/2 HP drill will spin the pump to max pressure and over relief. a 3/4 HP drill will spin it slightly faster, but no difference in pressure or volume is achieved.
