I love my 727. Since I do my own work it is very cheap and holds up to the power well. To be fair, a PG would likely be a better bracket race setup in my car (3200 lbs), but my consistancy is as good as anyone in my class.

I say to stay with the 727 and put a better valve body in it. Either the Tranzact or Griner. I expect you already have a billet front drum for safety. If you have a transbrake, then put a steel spline front planetary in the trans. I run footbrake and a stock 4 pinion aluminum body planetary.




How much power are you making Jim, and how many passes until you have to freshen it up?
