Yikes I had the same thing happen to me at 42 a few years ago during the Mid Ohio Mopar Rcae. Mine looked even worse then yours as there was nothing left of my trans. When mine blew it also knocked my foot off of the go pedal and caught fire. I then bought the billet drum from John Cope and have a much better feeling about it now.
