The challenge I am faced with though is that I want to run mufflers and turn the exhaust out to the side, but since this is a back-halfed I have to either go under the 2x3 crossmember
or out the sides. So trying to keep the frame railes running from front to back as high as possible. I go with 2x3 tubing from the 2x3 X member to the front near the torsion bars, I will probably have to lay the 2x3 "flat" rather that "tall" if you know what I mean, so I have that extra ground cleaance. Only other options to keep them high is to run them inside the car which I am not crazy about, or use smaller tubing.

I have to give up something one way or another. I guess there is oval exhaust tuping too, but never worked with it.


I had the same issue so i gave up my X-piped exhaust and am using car chemistry header inserts from Jegs.
