thanks for the help guys i will look into the Hughes springs. I finally found my old mopar performance book. It looks like i am using the mopar spring p/n P5249848 with a max lift of .540. So it looks like i was off on my spring choice back then.I used to own a set of the edelbrock 440 heads so i knew about the different size of the valves.but thanks for the info. Mopar65
