ok,
you have a 67 Dodge,maybe 37-3800lbs?
you can do it.
i have a 68 satellite,approx 3700lbs with driver,runs 11.41@118.5.
440 +0.055,10.78 comp,m1 single plane,825 mighty demon,prepped stealth heads
i have a purple 509 cam, idles in gear at 750/800 rpm.the downside to this is i have to run a vacuum pump for the brakes, there is a revised version of this cam-wider lobe seperation will pull better vacuum.Comp etc all do similar cams,i also like their XE/XEHL cams check piston valve clearance.
exhaust must be right.i have 1 7/8 hooker comps into 3",aero chambers and finish at diff.
i also have lighter,SRP, pistons with a performance balance.
get your suspension right,i have qa1's front ,rancho rear shocks.clamped rear mopar xhd springs no caltracs no snubber, small block tbars.
i shift at 5900 and trap at 6/6100.this is with a 28" et street radial,3.91 gears and 3200 stall converter.
yes it should run quicker with more converter/gear
Good luck
Tex
