Sounds good till the 5 minute wait for a sensor response . A tire going down for that long would be junk with a loaded trailer. I check tire pressure before the trip, set at max cold, then monitor tire temp at potty and fuel stops with a laser temp sensor. Also the wheel hubs. Its really amazing how close the tires run when the trailer is loaded correctly, and on the other hand you can see a distinct temperature rise when your not evenly loaded.

I've been reading how these things work, and I believe the one you are refering to has updated it to monitor every 2 minutes, but in the event of a change to pressure or temp change it signals immediatly. I may give a couple companies a call today and get more info. Two that I looked at are reasonably priced, both around $225, (TST, and Hawkshead) and reading some of the user feedback, they seem to work pretty well. I recently had a trailer tire blow at 65 mph and it was not pretty, or fun, and expensive......

Yeah, it's got a hemi........a REAL hemi.
