My dad lives about an hour from Tyler in Lufkin, he and my mom retired up there from the Houston area. They like it a lot, it's quiet but still things to do and he's got his car buddies etc. They do a cruise night once a month in Lufkin as well. Tyler has a tad bigger scene as it's a larger town.
