A bigger sample of years would be more informative here, and you are smart to verify the OP's title claims, but "A lot" is rather subjective anyway. Maybe they just got more on air time? And now I or someone has to verify your 2023 claims.
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.
