I stumbled on this endurance test a few weeks ago, just saw the video today.
My first race at Daytona was the 1960 500.

Since this was pre-Synthetic oil era, and normal oil changes were 2-3K? intervals at the time, I never heard on the video if the oil wasn't changed for the entire test run.
I know they thought safety was paramount at the time, but transferring 60psi fuel while a driver was downwind at 120mph with open windows and no fire suits with the on-board fuel transfer operator unseated/unbuckled has got to be high risk


Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.
