One of a small number of players from that era who would make it in today's NFL. Such a great player, and incredibly strong. He tended to tackle people up high, which is very unusual, but he'd run right though them and plant them. That's very difficult to do when you're hitting someone up high. Also, 22 (!!!) career interceptions in 9 seasons as a linebacker is utterly ridiculous. By all accounts, a genuinely good guy too. RIP.
