Big fan of TQ's myself, used them for 30+ years. As for the Lean Burn versions, I've made the earlier ones work with little effort. The biggest issue was no ported vacuum for the vacuum advance, which I was able to add. It's the later ones that have more electronics built in that you'll have difficulties.

The TQ on my wagon had gone to crap from sitting, and the buyer made the comment 'typical TQ' when it wouldn't run right because of it. I so wish I had taken the time to sort it before selling. frowwn

All the TQ's I ran were on stock engines, so can't tell ya' about putting one on something cammed and making real power, but for my intentions, they were great.
