A body only came with 1 arm without a console , bench or buckets .
Have your friend look for a 71 B body bench shifter and a 70 bench/console b only shifter box. The 70 B only shifter box has longer arms out the bottom to shorten the throw of the long 70 B shifter length, should work nice with the longer 71 lever. I'm putting one in my 69 dart to shorten the throw.

I have a little typo there , the 1970 B only shifter box is used with both bench seat shifter and the console shifter .
