Ground hog day just happens to be within a day or two of 6 weeks to the spring equinox, so technically, it should be 6 weeks until spring.
As far as the weather trend predictions, the groundhog only has a 36% accuracy rate (I heard that on the radio, so you know its got to be true).
Come to think of it, he is probably more accurate then the weather people....
As far as snow fall is concerned, I've had to snow blow my driveway 4 times this winter season, the last 3 or 4 seasons it was only once or twice. The last several years have been pretty mild as far as snowfall, but I'm already tired of this snow stuff for the year..
