Are you using the carb H bolt 1-1/4 inch long. I took off carbs off a 340 -6 and someone cut them. Does not seem like the intake manifold treads a deep enough for the bolts without cutting them.

They make two different lengths of H bolts. The 1.250 are for four barrels with the thick base gasket. Six pack used the 1.00” ones.
That intake and carbs is nicely detailed but the center pivot is not the correct oem one. That is an aftermarket piece. The oem used a pin with a clip instead of a bolt. Several companies sell the correct one. I think shakerhood.com does.
