"Yes to the above, the programming is in your TCM not the trans. If you know your torque converter is OK and you never get PO741 codes just swap the trans. Its a choice of unknowns there like which has the less miles and such.
Then there is no two run exactly alike thing. You may experience characteristic differences or the TCM may and begin a learning thing. Or like it never happened.

Get a new electrical connector plug, I tried to find just the o-ring but they sell it on the plug now. You may get lucky searching one out. Regardless get a new o-ring.
Get a new fill tube o-ring. I think earlier than 2011 year models had water intrusion there and it was eventually upgraded, but I would make sure a new one is installed.

You may want to opt for a deep pan?
