I have an above ground pool. I switched to Filterballs from sand this season. It worked great until the balls wouldn't backwash clean. I removed them all and rinsed them off. The water was greenish before I cleaned the media. The filter housing was pretty green. Guessing it was blowing the green water into the pool. Now I noticed the pool water is cloudy a bit when the system is running. When it shuts down and sits for a few hours, it's crystal clear. I'm attaching a photo of the issue. The black circle is the cloudy portion that happens when the filter is running. What could the issue be? I am going to close it soon, but wanted to see what could be done as far as maintenance or repairs on the system. Also, anyone else use the genuine Filterballs and not the knock offs on Amazon? How do you clean them? I emailed the company and no response back yet.
