Part of the makeup of those older cars was personality. Every car was unique, today just a sea of silver and tan boxes. Every time Japan comes out with a new design its copy city.


Chrysler has done pretty good with the 300 Charger and Challenger standing out in design and the Rams up until the current ones.

There have always been a lot of cars that look similar over the decades but it is worse now. It was said once recently that a big part of it is the standards. When lights have to be a certain size, incorporate safety features, aerodynamics for fuel efficiency things start looking more and more similar.
