If my wife would have agreed to my getting an SRT Super Stock, I'd have cut loose the '73 just as it sits and moved on. All the people telling me how I could go as fast or faster w/ some of the new cars certainly makes an impression.
The reality is I now have a very cool high 11- / low 12-sec daily driver, a 10-sec 49 YO work-in-progress to bring back to life... and three kids to still help get through college.
