Greg, I have no idea. Those are the first rubber lip seals I have used with their dry coating.

CHECK CAMSHAFT END PLAY BY SETTING A DIAL INDICATOR ON THE FACE OF THE CAM ADAPTOR AND MOVE CAM FRONT TO BACK. ADJUST THE SHIMS UNTIL THE CAMSHAFT ENDPLAY IS BETWEEN .008” AND .012”. IT IS OK TO USE ZERO SHIMS, IF CAM ENDPLAY IS CORRECT.

How much shim did you need to get your cam endplay?
And what timing cover gasket thickness did you use (effects end play)?

I didn't need any of the supplied shims with an 0.047" gasket. (SuperPerformance brand)
