It looks like my hot water heater is leaking at the connection to the house.
2 questions:

1) Tank is 17yrs old, should I bite the bullet and spend the $500 to replace it myself, or just fix this connector?
2) What kind of connection is it, it's PVC with no give, so how would I remove and replace it?
