This make so much more sense than a bad battery. If the battery was bad, how come it starts fine and restarts just fine after stalling guys? Bad battery would need a jump right?
Just sayn'

my one minivan would start fine, but would stall after pulling out of the driveway, then start fine again. sometimes it would light the check engine light, sometimes not. when scanned, the trouble codes were always goofy things that had nothing to do with driveability. that battery always started that thing, but it was 7-8yrs old. just for the heck of it, i bought a new battery, put the new battery in the wife's car, and put her 4yr old battery in the "bus". no more stalling, no more check engine lights, nothing goofy thereafter.
the battery obviously was the culprit.
