What's the rest of the setup? A 12.7 car normally won't break parts, unless it's a 4-speed.

I went 11.4's for 2 seasons with a GM 10-bolt with stock axles and 9" slicks. The key is to never do dry hops, and roll out of the throttle gently when coming out of the water. Never "blip" the throttle for any reason when in gear, it loads/unloads the driveline.
