Any thoughts on the new flywheel?
I finally just used an OE 67-69 hemi flywheel with the RobbMC Mimi starter on my 66 to get around any issues. However if I could find out I’d like to know what these other parts fit. Hopefully this does not derail the original thread.

Matt

I have a Hays flywheel I’ll check when I get home but I’m pretty sure it has the thick margin. I removed the 172 ring and installed the 143 ring thinking I’d outsmart the makers but dang the ring is on the opposite sides than the 440 flywheel so a regular auto starter won’t reach the teeth. The Hemi starter ‘nose’ has a scalloped place on one side, where as the /6 and others are just round, at least in my research. I asked Robb if he could make up a starter with the double reduction case and Hemi bendix it he said no. IIRR dads boat direct drive starters didn’t spin fast either, very hard to get running out on the bay when a big ship was coming at us.
Main reason I’m going thru this is I bought that repop $300 positive cable and wires for my 66 Belvedere and I DONT want to hack the ends up hooking to a different starter.
