We used a JW bell with his crank adapter, The Wheel and shim kit to start. Didn't like all the shims so after determining the thickness needed, we made 2 1/4" aluminum spacers. 1/8"mid plate from when we had the 3 speed so it was scalloped to allow the starter to mount against the bell. Standard GM converter with 1/8" shims between the flexplate and converter pads. Mopar Performance starter. Worked perfect..
