The people they are targeting in Detroit don't care about leases and liens. Most likely the cars are bought cash with whatever money they have on hand. (Avoiding saying the wrong thing)
I think the real point here is do they care about the car they own, likely hopped up, and are street racing with. Most car owners I know do care.
