The only comment I can make is the '66 and some of the '67 survivors I've seen have a common caplug over the nipple on the air cleaner cover and a valve cover breather with no nipple. There is no hose from the air cleaner to the valve cover breather. There was a thread about this very subject a few years (?) ago that discussed this on the early Hemis.
