My 01 SLT is electric as well...... while my 99 Dakota is vacuum.
On mine everything works except for I cant get floor heat. It'll burn your eyeballs out on any other setting. There is a Rube Goldberg linkage and dial setup that hooks to one of those actuators on teh driver side just above the floor hump, I have had apart 2-3 times. Clean the old grease (looks like Lubriplate white grease) out, relube and it all works for 2-3 times of switching it to "floor heat" mode then I gotta get in there and "help" the linkage move thru its range.

There is another company besides Heater Treater (I forget their name) that also makes "some" internal heater box parts for vehicles, they make some things that Heater Treater doesn't. On my Durango the blend door on the rear heat/AC broke, this other company had these parts where Heater Treater don't/
In fact I was on heater treater website a couple weeks ago and the only thing Dodge they had, was Ram 1500, 02 and up. Nothing for Dakota/Durango/older than 02 Ram.
