Partial vin on engine block pad and transmission. Door vin, dash vin are full. Partial vin on the radiator support. That all would be nice if matched with original fender tag, and a broadcast sheet. But the next level of numbers matching and date code matching is all the attached parts. Lots of them in the engine bay, but interior and electrical parts too. Now that may not matter to you, and again prices is the factor. But it is the difference between identical type cars having one worth way more then the other despite matching drive trains.

Also the market now has far more reproduction parts versus OEM original.

Based on the questions your asking, you might want to do some more research or get some one who understands market value. If that matters to you.

You can look at completed Ebay auctions, major auction houses and such. And you can use a tool like Hagerty value to see.

You may be lucky and it is a steal, but more than likely it is not.
