They get excited and over pay for some cars that are a tough sell and skip right over other rare cars that people would be really interested in.
They're car guy and overall guru isn't much better. One car they bought I think it was a model A was restored in the 70s with NOS parts and still looked pretty good and they got it for what was a decent price. It would be a tough stretch today to find much in the way of usable NOS stuff for them. They're guy said they paid too much because they sold millions of them.
It's still a cool show to watch and it's always interesting to see where they're going into or looking at.
