My wife works for the school district as an instructor. Basically a step below a teacher. She is paid hourly unlike teachers who are salaried. With school closed for who knows how long, she has zero income. The school district will fire anyone who attempts to file for unemployment. So what does she do. One year to go before she can retire. It sucks.
Some states are allowing people to file for the additional $600 from the Fed even if they don't qualify state unemployment benefits. She should check it out.
