Just did this on brick 5 weeks ago for sister-inlaw. A 60 inch flat screen. Drilled 6 ea 7/16's holes using hammer drill. Cleaned the 6 holes of all dust. Filled each hole with JB Weld and inserted the 3/8's studs and let set up for 24 hours. Used short 'Tooth Picks' to keep the studs centered in the JB Weld.
Lowes/HomeDepot has nylon door shims. So I fitted the SANUS mount loose and cut some door shim stock to level the surface, drilled a 3/8 hole in the shim stock and bolted the mound down solid. Hung the TV and fab'ed a sound bar mount under the TV.
