There are a few brands of electric pumps that will effectively lift fuel from above the tank. Most will not, and or will cavitate if mounted that way. Less is more when it comes to lifting fuel above tank level. I use a 2 speed Fuel Labs pump mounted at the top of my tank hooked to a pair of Holley Hydramats.. The high speed switch kicks on when the secondaries open using a micro switch. The pump runs at a cooler low speed on the primaries
