My bee has this type of choke.

I heard what I thought was an exhaust leak. I found the round disc type cap flopping up and down and felt hot puffs. Pushed down on that cap and the idle came up and smoothed out.

What went wrong here?

I am NOT a mechanic but I can change out that choke if that's all it needs to be fixed.
