On my 68 and 69 Road Runners they are stitch welded, one inch or so of weld ever 6 or so inches around the perimeter. Seam sealer gobbed all around the hump from the inside basically covering the lapped metal. No seam sealer from underside. Though, if not concours correct, wouldn't be a bad idea.
