That goes for dyno testing too. You can also void a high temp ceramic warranty by using header wrap -- always read the fine print on the paperwork the job shop gives you.

If the job didn't last I would be more inclined to blame the metal prep (or excessive engine heat / timing) than the product, especially if it keeps happening over and over.
