What do I need to do with the converter lockup? Shouldn't the factory computer take care of that?

This truck has a 91 Dakota chassis, a 360 Magnum, the 46re trans, a 9 1/4 (70s version) with 3:23 gears, a small 39-47 cab, hood, grill shell, and a 6'6" Dakota box floor with the 39-47 sides. Essentially its a Dakota RT with about a 1,000 less lbs. The little I've driven it leads one to believe its going to have plenty of power for the way this old man drives.
