FWIW the factory length driveshaft is usually a little short based on the shafts I have built. It will work no doubt, but the spline engagement of the rear slip yolk and output shaft is better with a slightly longer shaft sometimes. As a side benefit of a longer shaft, the rear seal gets essentially a "new" rear yolk seal area.
